A bit more scenic progress, including a first for me, making a tree ! Never before have I attempted a homemade tree. Used a dried twig from the garden, glued some seafoam, then hairspray and Woodland Scenics medium green flocking. Overall I'm quite happy with it. Main thing is it was most enjoyable to make opposed to taking out the credit card :) Also played around with the photo software for some atmospheric black & whites. The countryside scene is starting to look like something :)

Scenic Progress
Well we made it to 2021, hopefully this year is a bit better, only time will tell. Been a little quiet on here so it's time for an update. I've been working on the next area of the railway that needs basic scenery, the village of Boxer Bay and the countryside in between. I found a great photograph in the book by Michael Welch Somerset & Dorset Sunset, showing a 2 ft gauge tramway crossing the S&D near Ashcott, built for the peat works. So I thought that would make a nice addition.
The 2 tramway wagons were built from Grandt Line products. Still lots to do to this area, including larger trees, more details, but it's slowly coming on nicely nicely. More soon as I start the village.
