Train of the week #6

 This week the little independent light railway's ex-Midland Railway 1F 0-6-0T half cab locomotive "Hilda" heads up the branch with the daily goods. The locomotive is kit built, traditional worm gear arrangement giving good performance. The wagons a mix of various kits like Peco / Parkside / Slaters and a scratchbuilt GWR fruit van.

Train of the week #5

Time for the train of the week film.  A longer daily goods heads from the docks up the branch past the junction towards Taunton, with trusty Pannier tank 7711 yet again in charge.  The branch Autotank can be seen in the background.  The Great Western locos have taken over the layout in recent months.  The BBR locos have been away (workbench) getting a minor overhaul, wheel & pickup cleaning, lubrication etc..  They'll be back soon.  Always nice to change things up a bit.

Train of the week #4

 Weekly train of the week film.  A newly built / finished Slaters tank wagon appears in the daily goods train, with pannier tank 7711 in charge as typical for the line at the moment.  A local artist attempts to capture the scene. 

Train of the week #3

Train of the week #3.  Again GWR Pannier 7711 is on the branch goods, passing by the countryside.  Afterwards, we take a brief stroll down to have a look at the goods yard at Windrush Junction.  A fine Spring day !

Train of the week #2

 Next chapter in the occasional "Train of the week" films.  This one features the very nice, sweet running Minerva 57xx / 77xx Pannier tank, with the daily branch goods.  Here's 2 short films caught by our local photographer Tristan.  Sometimes even just 20 minutes of running trains helps bring one to a calm inner peace.
