Weekend Goods

After a stressful week at work, it was very relaxing to shunt and run a goods train down the line.  I just had to pull out the camera and attempt a few different vantage points.  Along the way I stopped my Bentley   (😁)   on Guys Bridge to take in the view, then it's off to the bakery for Lemon cake !  Well,  one can dream.

Sunday Snaps

Another weekend of train spotting photographs captures GWR Pannier Tank #7711 shunting the morning goods at Windrush Junction,  and departing for Taunton passing the King Edward Brewery.  BBR locos #1 & #3 were caught at the shed after a days work,  seems traffic for the little line is holding steady as Colonel Stephens himself was seen paying a visit.

Boxer Bay High Street

Well the Boxer Bay High Street has just seen a new establishment open for business.

Come on Doris, lets go down to the "Butterball Bakery"

If you'll pardon the pun, the structure was a piece of cake....(ouch !) to build, thanks to the wonderful Petite Properties base kit,  finished off with brick paper,  some roof tiles from Lcut Creative, spare guttering, and a nice interior detail casting from Langley models,  which I've had for just about 20 years waiting to be utilized,  finally that $10 has been put to good use.   I must admit I was starting to hear my stomach while painting some of the goodies.    Anyone guess where the "num nums"  phrase comes from ?  Hint hint...  a classic comedy :)

Sunday Snaps ~ Afternoon Goods

Got nothing else doing today,  lets follow the afternoon goods.  In steam today is the vintage BBR #1 Manning Wardle Niki.   Looks as if there's a special bit of cargo today,  a steam tractor.  Let's  have a look :)
