Brief Film update

Just had a little time to make up a brief film showing a typical GWR goods passing through the scenes that are slowly taking shape,  including the new village.   A little experimenting with black & white effects,  not too bad.

A Few Characters

I decided it was time to paint a few figures to add to my miniature world.  One of the joys of O scale are the characters one can add to the scene to bring it to life.  I really enjoy the process of painting them,  challenging but fun.  I've no idea how people manage to paint figures in any scale smaller then 1/43,  couldn't do it with my eyesight.

First up is Lady Marjorie's husband  Richard,  now they can wait for the GWR service to Minehead together & have a chat about the miserable weather !

Anthony  &  Billy watching the action at Windrush Junction and taking down numbers.  Whats this ?  7711 with the branch goods instead of the 23xx Dean ?   Hurry up Bill, we best be gettin home or Mum will give us a clip around the ear !

Connection

The BBR branch train arrives at Windrush Junction,  just in the nick of time for passengers to catch the GWR service headed to Minehead,  about to depart.

Overall View

The railway is now about 5 years in the making,  thought an overall view was warranted.   60% of the railway has basic scenery.  Attention will now be at Boxer Bay and the dockside.  The Goods yard at Windrush Junction  needs work too,  including scratchbuilding the shed.   Not to mention lots of stock & locos I hope to build,  someday :)  Great fun.

14:25 to Windrush

I had a little time for a quick run this evening,  so it was the 48xx & Autocoachs turn,  forming the 14:25 service to Windrush.  So relaxing to just sit back and listen to the wheels glide over the points, for that pleasing "click clack" rhythm.  I must get the 48xx weathered.  I'll need courage to tackle that lovely autocoach !  The Primrose Tea Room is now open :)

Boxer Bay High Street #2

Another structure has been added to the Boxer Bay village High Street.   The Primrose Tea Room.  Another quick build utilizing the excellent & economic Petite Properties base kits,  suitably finished with stone sheeting,  Lcut roof shingles,  and a basic interior.   Great fun.
